Generic Assets

If any agency or supplier reaches out to add a capital assets ID or profile ID for any specific item, use the generic assets ID that has already been created. It can be accessed at Systems Management Helpful Link. Look for the Link to the Generic Assets List

Also, a generic asset cannot be used if purchased on contract and cannot be tied to a supplier/vendor.

In certain circumstances, generic assets are created for specific SWC contracts. They are the only exception for generic assets to be used on contracts. The most prominent example is the SWC for vehicles. Requests to make those will come from the category team only.
